Induction
Should you choose to join ESD and if you are accepted, we hold an induction ceremony once a year in the Spring for new admits. We typically invite an industry professional to welcome and induct new members into the fraternity!
Trips
Each fall, Michigan State’s Eta Sigma Delta chapter takes a trip to explore a new city, tour unique hotels and event spaces, and connect with hospitality professionals. A highlight of the trip is attending a major industry conference. This year, we’re headed to Denver, Colorado, for The Hospitality Show! It’s a chance to learn, network, and make memories with fellow members outside the classroom.
Volunteering
Community service is a big part of who we are! Each fall, we partner with Potter Park Zoo to help clean up animal habitats and support their events. We also collaborate with other hospitality student organizations on service projects—like making blankets for the Capital Area Humane Society earlier this year. Volunteering gives us the chance to give back, work together, and strengthen our hospitality community.
Who We Are
We are Michigan State University's chapter of Eta Sigma Delta, the national honor society for Hospitality Business Majors. Eta Sigma Delta encompasses over 90 chapters around the country with the intent to lead hospitality and tourism educators and professionals to the highest levels of professionalism and achievement.
